Adventures

Once or twice a year, I participate in a lengthy adventure, usually organized as part of a large group. This section highlights the best of the best.

Blue Ridge Parkway – I participated in a supporting role as a dozen riders rode the Blue Ridge Parkway from start to finish.

Lake Serenity – Brevard Weekend – For the second major Neil Turner outing, we spent the weekend in Brevard. We rode all over Brevard, Hendersonville, and the surrounding area.

Colorado Vacation – I spent 7 days riding at high elevations, including the highest paved road in the US.

Table Rock Weekend – This was one of Neil Turner’s famous excursions. We spent the weekend camping in the state park, grilling out by night and riding all day.

Spartanburg Freewheeler’s Beach Ride – The Freewheelers have an annual excursion from Spartanburg to Isle of Palms near Charleston, all in one day. It was 236 miles in the year that I participated.
